There are many layout methods for the closet, and the walk-in is one of them. It is an independent space and has relatively high requirements for the space area. What to consider when planning your walk-in closet?
The walk-in closet, introduced from Europe, is an independent space that combines storage, dressing and make up. Its ideal space area is 4㎡ and above, including hanging clothes area, stacking area, underwear area, shoes area, bedding area, dressing area and make up area.

Location Selection
In general, there are several suitable space location options for walk-in closets:
(1) An independent area is planned in the bedroom with sufficient area and designed as a walk-in closet, which is both private and convenient in daily use;
(2) When the bedroom space is relatively limited, you can choose other remaining space to build a walk-in closet, such as a long and narrow storage room, attic space, an idle guest room, etc.

Internal Layout
The walk-in closet needs to cover several basic areas: hanging clothes area, stacking area, underwear area, bedding area and dressing area. If other functions are required, you can communicate with our designers.
Before dividing the functional areas, it is necessary to communicate with the designer in advance about various requirements. All aspects must be considered, and the categories of items to be placed in each area must be determined, which is convenient for furture use.

Basic Size
The size of the walk-in closet includes the depth of the cabinet, the height of the clothes hanging area, the height of the drawers, the height of the shoe rack, etc. The depth of the wardrobe is generally between 53 and 65 cm; the height of the hanging area for long coats is ≥140 cm; the height of the drawers is designed between 15 and 20 cm, and the spacing between the shelves is 40 and 60 cm.

Lighting Design
The lighting of the walk-in closet is carried out in the form of main light + auxiliary light. Except for one main light, hidden designs such as light strips and downlights can be added to the compartments of each partition.
For the choice of lighting tone, cold light and warm light can be matched. Generally, it is recommended to choose cool white light for the main light, and warm light for other auxiliary light strips, which can create multi-level lighting effects.

Door Selection
There are mainly two ways to open the cabinet door: swing door and sliding door. How to choose, take the size of the space as a reference. If the space is large, both can be used. If the space is small, sliding door is the most suitable, which can fully save space.
