Is Grey Still In For Home Decor?

After years of grey as a neutral color, the 2023 interior color trends seem to be saying goodbye to grey. If you're considering grey paint or furniture for your home this year, you may be wondering "Is grey still in for home decor?"
Our designers don't think grey is going away—there are ways to bring it back to life.

1
Don’t go grey-on-grey

It seems that one of the biggest complaints about grey is that it's dull, monotonous, and negative. The most outdated look right now is the all grey room design, which was a big trend five years ago. But everything depends on how you use it. We don't like too much grey in the design process, because it will make people listless, and the effect of partial grey embellishment is better.

Warm Tones

The next way to get grey right in 2023 is to choose warm tones. Warm neutrals, like beige, ivory, and taupe, are the color of the year, rather than cool greys and pure whites.
If you opt for warmer tones, try using colors that are a little more saturated than you're used to, which will give your room a more homely feel.

Or, a very light shade that almost looks like ivory or cream. So a super light warm gray will look subtle but stylish.

Forms A Contrast

If you still need to use grey in large areas, to avoid these grey becoming too harsh and dull, contrast them with very bright whites, or add some dark colors in woodwork and ceilings and in your soft furniture.
