How to Install Cabinets Hinges

Hinge is one of the commonly used hardware for panel furniture, wardrobe, cabinet door.  The quality of hinges directly affects the use of wardrobe cabinets and doors. Hinges can be divided into three types according to hinge bending degree: full cover, half cover and no cover.

First，when installing the cabinet hinge, it is necessary to determine the size of the cabinet door and the minimum margin between the cabinet doors. The minimum margin of the cabinet door shall be determined according to the hinge type. This is generally listed in the cabinet hinge installation instructions. You can refer to it to determine the value.

When connecting the cabinet hinges, install the measuring board, and then use a pistol drill or a woodworking hole opener to drill a hinged cup mounting hole with a width of about 3-5mm on the cabinet door board. The drilling depth is generally about 12mm.

Then insert the cabinet hinge into the cabinet door panel, then fix the hinge cup of the hinge with screws. After the hinge is inserted into the hole of the cabinet door panel, open the hinge, insert it into the aligned side panel, and then fix the base of the hinge with self-tapping screws.

Last, after installation, you can try the effect of opening and closing the cabinet door. If the effect is not good, you should adjust the cabinet door to the best effect, and the gap between the installed cabinet doors is usually 2mm.
