MFC Board Kitchen Cabinet

Although our kitchen cabinets are constructed with timber, on the inside we use a material called melamine faced chipboard, or MFC. Constructed from a chipboard core and finished with a decorative melamine covering, MFC board kitchen cabinet is a versatile product used by many bespoke furniture manufacturers. It can be found in wardrobes, shelving, and wall panelling. Because the raw materials it is manufactured with – wood chips, resin, and melamine – are inexpensive, MFC is a cost-effective material.

Hinges: high-durability blum hinges are included for standard cabinets, 100,000 times of closing tested, mounted and dismounted, adjusted easily

Drawer: blum rawer system

Feet: ABS adjustable foot

Kick Toe: Aluminum

Flat packing or assembled packing

Sponges and foam inside, shock-resistant paper outside and angle shaped plastic around the corners for protecting

Sometimes our clients ask us why we use MFC. Because furniture built from MFC is very affordable, they worry that the quality will not match the rest of their Bear and Woods kitchen. However, we quickly reassure them that we only use MFC because we believe it is the right product.

MFC is highly damage resistant, and ours is extra strong because there are no exposed edges. This also gives it a clean, crisp look. On our MFC board kitchen cabinet shelves, melamine edging is used to prevent chipping, but this is the only place in our kitchens you'll find it.

MFC board kitchen cabinet is a very sustainable product. Because the trees used to make it are chipped, the entire tree is used and very little is wasted. REBON takes a proactive approach to conservation, and is committed to sustainable forestry.
